Scarlett Johansson is priming me on what to order at the Ritz Diner, a 60-year-old institution in her Upper East Side neighborhood. She’s just walked in wearing bulky circumaural headphones, a plush turquoise turtleneck, and an old Yankees cap, and we’re sitting in a small booth by a window with the blinds closed. Today may technically still be in the midst of a dreary New York winter, but this buoyant mid-March afternoon—the temperature inching toward 60 degrees, the sun brightly shining—is signaling the beginning of spring. Before ordering a turkey sandwich on rye, Johansson suggests a change in the season will do us all some good: “It’s such a weird time.”

This site dates back to August of 2001 when it was set up and maintained loyally by Maria, under the name of Dedicated to Scarlett Johansson. Meanwhile, Mel opened her own Scarlett Johansson site at http://www.scarlettjohanssonfan.com in August 2004. During the summer of 2005, Maria decided to leave the site due to other commitments so Mel grabbed on the opportunity and merged the two sites together to bring the fans the ultimate source on Scarlett. Mel decided to seek for a new webmaster for the site in January 2006 and that is when Riikka got involved. The site moved to a new address, http://www.scarlett-fan.com, in May 2006 and the gallery was moved to its own domain, http://www.scarlett-photos.com, in November 2006. In May of 2009, Riikka felt it was time to step down as the webmaster and she graciously passed the site to Lisa. Rope joined the web team.
After a lot of changes with owners and more, Aniek adopted the site in 2012. Rope stayed on as a co-web, and Aniek later let Isabelle join the team. Scarlett Fan is now ran by Aniek, Isabelle & Rope.
