I came across three unseen stills of Scarlett Johansson looking lovely as Annie Braddock in The Nanny Diaries.
Also, Roxana of Alicia-Keys.net has made Scarlett-Fan.com their Site of the Moment. Big thanks to her! Be sure to check out this ultimate source on Scarlett’s TND co-star.

|A new The Other Boleyn Girl still was published in the latest issue of Elle magazine. I’ve added it to our gallery. Credit for the pic goes out to NataliePortman.com. Thanks to Titooy, I’ve replaced the rare My Brother the Pig stills with HQs. I’ve also added an old photoshoot in the gallery, outtakes from Teen People (1998), which see Scarlett with Jessica Biel and Kirsten Dunst. Be sure to log in to view this set.|
Last but not least, the press archive has finally been updated with new items, including new The Nanny Diaries related articles. More interviews and articles will be added soon!
“For Annie, New York is just a hop across the Hudson River; it’s not like she’s from a small farming community in the Midwest, wide-eyed at these stunning material things,” says Johansson. “She reads fashion magazines, and is aware of this world. I didn’t want it to seem like she’s coming from complete innocence, didn’t want her to seem dewy-eyed. She’s sort of amused by all this extravagance, and sort of loves living, briefly, in this lap of luxury.
“But there’s another aspect, which is the women Annie meets who are also caretakers,” she adds, “who are really touching characters and who show a different side to this life. And in showing all these sides, the movie is a real love letter to New York. I hope that comes across.
In the past few days I’ve updated the gallery with a bunch of scans and a couple of new stills from The Nanny Diaries. Thanks a lot to everyone who contributed!

The Nanny Diaries was screened yesterday in New York City. Unfortunately Scarlett was not in attendance as she is currently filming in Spain. The premiere was, however, attended by co-stars Laura Linney, Alicia Keys, Donna Murphy and more. You can find pictures over at Wireimage. Kerry informed us that the official premiere of the film is set for August 22nd in New York, here’s to hoping Scarlett will be there!
Also, Scarlett is not booked for any talk show appearances as of now but hopefully she will also be able to attend The Nanny Diaries screening in Venice, Italy later this month.
Variety reports that The Weinstein Co. has moved up the release of The Nanny Diaries to August 24 from September 7, 2007. This is the third time the film has changed dates, but “There is nothing rotten in the state of Denmark,” Harvey Weinstein said. “We really believe in the movie and people like it.”
The company thinks it’s a good move, pointing to data that shows total grosses for the week before Labor Day running 31% higher than those during the week after Labor Day. “It’s clearly better playtime,” said The Weinstein Co. distrib chief Steve Bunnell. “If we had a movie in June or July and moved it back to August, then that could be a dumping ground, but this isn’t that situation at all.”
The Nanny Diaries will screen August 31 in a gala at the Venice Film Festival. Early indications are that the movie may not be best-picture bait but could have potential for various comedy honors such as the Golden Globes’ musical/comedy nod.
Sorry for the delay in updates. I am currently out of the country and things have been a little quiet in the Scarlett world. However, The Nanny Diaries site has finally been launched and it features a bunch of new stills. I’ve added them to the gallery.
According to Variety, The Nanny Diaries has been pushed back from its April release to September 7. It will see its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, like many of Scarlett’s previous films.
Harvey and Bob Weinstein are moving their chick lit adaptation The Nanny Diaries to Sept. 7 from its planned opening next month.
Pic will have its world preem at the Venice film fest.
Pic was helmed by American Splendor directing duo Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman.
Harvey Weinstein said he’s moving the film to put it in awards contention, and its homevid release will coincide with the Golden Globes.
Weinstein added that he didn’t want the pic to get lost in a summer glut of sequels in various franchises.
Diaries stars Scarlett Johansson in a role Weinstein said the company will likely be pushing for kudos consideration.
