She won the Tony Award for her performance in A View From The Bridge yesterday night and all we can say from here is CONGRATULATIONS SCARLETT!!! She looked stunning on the red carpet too, I’m not a big fan of the hairdo but that green Elie Saab dress she wore is gorgeous.

“Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be on Broadway and here I am,” said Scarl accepting her award.

First pics added to the gallery!

May 09, 2010  Holly Comments are off 'A View From The Bridge', 'Iron Man 2', Articles & Interview

Scarlett talks about Iron Man 2 and A View From The Bridge.

‘I feel lucky I’ve been able to jump from genre to genre. It would be unsatisfying doing the same thing again and again and I’m lucky to be able to transform myself in different ways. And it’s been unbelievable to be part of this thing. It’s been a huge experience for me,’ Johansson said in an-email interview.

After her recent release ‘Iron Man 2’, the 25-year-old is happy playing Catherine Carbone in ‘A View From The Bridge’.

‘I never thought I’d be following up ‘Iron Man’ with a little Arthur Miller, but I’ve always kind of worked where the spirit has moved me,’ she said.

In director Jon Favreau’s ‘Iron Man 2’, Johansson plays Natalie Rushman, a demure assistant who hides a shocking secret and later reveals herself as The Black Widow.

So here are some HQ pics of Scarlett’s appearance last night in The Late Show. She was lovely, sexy and funny, and happy to be part of this Broadway play. She talked about many funny situations on stage with her co-star Liev Schreiber, so if you want to see the whole interview, click HERE (part I) and HERE (part II). I hope we can have screencaps up soon!

January 25, 2010  Rope Comments are off 'A View From The Bridge', Public Events, Scarlett-Photos.com, Site News

Yesterday night Scarlett made her Broadway debut officially, in Arthur Miller’s play A View From The Bridge. After the play the whole cast attended the after-party. Scarlett was wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelery. In my opinion she looked a bit older, but so beautiful and cheerful anyway. Lots of HQs have been added to the gallery, hope you like them.

January 25, 2010  Lisa 3 comments 'A View From The Bridge'

Scarlett’s Broadway play official opened yesterday and the first reviews are coming in. Here is what some of them are saying about her performance:

Johansson, an actor I never thought had much range, more than holds her own, and brings a stirring vulnerability and subtlety in the role of Carbone’s neice. Her performance feels wholly authentic and earned, and during her anguished love scene I could see tears streaking her cheeks. You can fake that on film, but not on stage. – Gothamist

Johansson, making her Broadway debut, is a revelation, giving a shaded, nuanced performance. At first, she’s sweetly fond of her uncle, only later realizing his unspoken attentions. And check out her impeccable Brooklyn accent. – ABC

Looking shapely in tight sweaters and skirts yet still girlishly oblivious to her sensuality, Johansson embodies this dilemma with touching dignity, as much in her moments of cautious distance as those of heated self-assertiveness. – Variety

Johansson disappears so completely into the role of Catherine, the plucky but naïve niece of a longshoreman, that you won’t stop to consider the qualities that make her distinctly suited to the part. Only afterward will you likely realize the actress’s youthful sensuality and capacity for good-natured goofiness constitute a perfect fit for this sheltered 17-year-old struggling to come to terms with her effect on men — her uncle, in particular. – USAToday

Johansson, sporting a convincing Brooklyn accent, is touching as the young girl blossoming into womanhood. Although like most stage tyros she needs to do more work in terms of projection and stage presence, she more than holds her own opposite her dynamic co-star, which is saying something indeed. – Hollywood Reporter

It was evident to me from her performance in “Girl with a Pearl Earring” in 2003, the same year she co-starred with Bill Murray in “Lost in Translation,” that Scarlett Johansson was an actress of major talent, not just star quality. She was 19 then; she had already been acting professionally for a decade. As Catherine, Johansson must be a sheltered girl who receives two shocks in quick succession – the jolt of love and the thunderbolt of betrayal — that force her to figure out how to grow up quickly; it is riveting to watch her do so. – The Faster Times

So many new things for today that I know you’re going to love! First of all, the site information has been updated, Scarlett’s Biography, the Quotes page & the Supported Causes one have all been completed with all from 2009/2010. There are also lots of new pics in the gallery. Some photos of Jan 20th’s A View From The Bridge show with Scarlett on stage, two new stunning Mango spring/summer 2010 campaign ads, and also a pic with an article of Scarlett & Liev Schreiber for Vogue magazine, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. I hope you all like all this news, and remember that A View… opens tomorrow so we’ll get the first official reviews soon! Last but not least, here* you have the first video clips of Scarlett in the play! Yeah! Enjoy!
