Avclub – Taika Waititi is a passionate and meticulous filmmaker, who owns a dazzling array of fruit-themed tees and rompers. To ensure his first tentpole film, Thor: Ragnarok, was a smashing success, Waititi voiced the delightful rock-monster Korg, played one of three heads on an alien, and donned a motion-capture suit to play Surtur and, occasionally, the Hulk himself. So, when the What We Do In The Shadows filmmaker announced plans to play an imaginary Hitler in his own “Nazi comedy,” Jojo Rabbit, you must have known he wasn’t going to merely play someone named Adolf Hitler.
Sure enough, in the first photo of Waititi in the role, the Hunt For The Wilderpeople director has all the Hitler accoutrements, including the mustache, swastika, and slicked-down hair.
Again, we’ll remind you that Waititi is playing an imaginary Hitler, which is presumably why Scarlett Johansson, who stars as Mrs. Betzler, is smiling in the general direction of the Nazi leader and her son Jojo, played by Roman Griffin. The film centers on young Jojo, a very lonely boy who is also not all that well-informed, as the Hitler he conjures is a “Polynesian Jew,” as Waititi himself described it. Earlier this month, Waititi underscored the fact that Jojo Rabbit is a satirical work.
To help offset the führer fuckery above, here’s another set photo, which Waititi tweeted along with some of his renowned Avengers knowledge.
Jojo Rabbit is currently in production, and there’s currently no word on a release date.

Scarlett and Pete’s new EP “Apart” was officially released yesterday on all streaming sites and a physical CD and in the lead up to the release date they both did a press junket on May 22, 2018 in New York City with a photoshoot, video interviews and regular online interviews, and the first online video has hit the web from Amazon Music as well as three photos of the pair that you can view in the gallery. As more come’s online I will add it into the site.

Movie star Scarlett Johansson has taken a break from acting to sing duets with the well-connected musician Pete Yorn
The Times “People kept sending us texts asking if we were making up yet,” says Scarlett Johansson, smiling and leaning slightly across the enormous advertising billboard dividing her and musical partner Pete Yorn’s director’s chairs. “I got lucky,” says Yorn with a shrug, as if scheduling a recording project with one of the world’s biggest film stars is just a matter of syncing calendars. “She happened to be available.”
The subject of those text inquiries was Break Up, Johansson and Yorn’s 2009 album of Serge Gainsbourg/Brigitte Bardot-inspired duets, which took the collapse of a relationship as its theme and is the project they return to this month with an EP called Apart. It’s also the reason the three of us are in the penthouse suite of a Manhattan hotel, surrounded by a small army of — in descending terms of hierarchy — executives, management, make-up artists, cameramen and terrified-looking PR assistants.
Johansson, of course, looks as if she was born to be there, heavily made up for camera, smiling and professional in white blouse and jeans. Yorn looks exactly the successful mid-career singer-songwriter he is, and slightly less at ease with the media circus. Even back in the music industry’s big-money days, this wouldn’t be the typical environment to discuss an EP launch, even one with a poppy lead track such as Bad Dreams, which would seem destined for a decent amount of radio play even without the hook of its supernova co-star.
Lyrically, Bad Dreams tells the story of a post-relationship malaise in which two separated individuals nonetheless find it hard to escape each other’s lives. “Pessimistic as it seems, sleep will never come that easy,” they trill to each other on the catchy chorus. “We will always have bad dreams.”
“Any time you have a creative relationship with a director or writer, you are immediately detailing the failures of your relationships, your expectations, disappointments and regrets,” muses Johansson, “and all this really personal, raw stuff comes out. You all hope there’ll be something you can take out of this pool of experience.”

Scarlett made her first Saturday Night Live appearance of the year in episode 19 with Donald Glover as host, Again reprises her role as Ivanka Trump for the segment Michael Cohen Wiretap Cold Open the skit had her co-staring with Ben Stille and Jimmy Fallon. Scarlett was not seen at the end of the show (or I did not see her there). HQ screen captures and stills are now up in the gallery and you can watch the segment below.

After her stop of Ellen Scarlett made her way over to the Jimmy Kimmel Live taping for part of Avengers Infinity War week, She was joined on the show by Mark Ruffalo, Danai Gurira, Dave Bautista and Ton Hiddleston, they talk about who is least trustworthy between them all with spoilers (it’s mark), Mark’s major mistake during the premiere of Thor: Ragnarok, Tom craving tea on set, and Dave reveals how many times he saw Guardians of the Galaxy in the theater and played a game of “Guess The Avenger” to see how well they really knew each other. Today (April 24th) Scarlett has two talk shows that she will be on to promote Avengers: Infinity War and the first one she was on aired earlier today and that was the The Ellen Show, She talking about Rose thinking she is a superhero all the time, The movie it’s self and played a game of Last Word with Ellen, At this time we only have three clips that you can watch below and the stills but I am working on finding the full interview for the site and remember Scarlett will next be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Yesterday (April 23nd) was the big event the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War in Los Angeles. And Scarlett who was joined by Colin Jost along with the cast of the movie and several other Marvel TV and past film stars on the purple carpet. Scarlett looked absolutely stunning in her silver dress, with a choker Move Addiction from the Messikaby Gigi Hadid collection and purple eye shadow to complete the look. Yesterday (April 22nd) was the kick of for the press tour of Avengers: Infinity War and Scarlett who is showing of her new dark hair look as well as most of the main cast of the movie attended the global press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel, where they talked about the film and there characters for roughly just under a hour. The conference it’s self was hosted by Thor: Ragnarok’s Jeff Goldblum who is not in Infinity War (that we no of). After that Scarlett and the cast went to did some press junket, At this time there are no videos out but some photos people took are so I would guess the videos will come out soon.
